Prof. Valerio Pruneri

Project Coordinator

Valerio Pruneri is the project coordinator for NANO-GLASS project. He is also is the group leader of the Optoelectronics group and an ICREA Professor at ICFO. At the same time, he occupies the Chaired Faculty Professorship at Corning. He has had key publications in the proposed individual research projects research fields, including multifunctional optical surfaces, ultrathin materials, quantum devices and systems.

ICFO is an international multidisciplinary center with researchers from over 50 different countries. The Optoelectronics group at ICFO has recently obtained several key achievements in the proposed field of research, including transparent electrodes for displays, an ultrafast and broadband tunable optical surface, a super-omniphobic surface with the largest transparency and lowest scattering, and integrated quantum random number generator.

LuxQuanta is a spin-off from ICFO, The Institute of Photonic Sciences (a world-leading research center on photonics and quantum technologies), where it was incubated for over four years. From our headquarters in Barcelona and with a majority of European
shareholders and total European control, we strive to deliver Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) systems and technologies to be integrated into existing network infrastructures while capable of providing a quantum-safe layer of security on top of mathematical cryptographic techniques.
